At Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Carb Day the drivers and teams competed in the Pit Stop Challenge. In the end, it was Helio Castroneves’ Team Penske team picking up the win.

For the first round eight drivers where competing to move to the quarter finals. The results are as follows:
- Ryan Hunter-Reay No. 28 DHL Honda won over Matt Branham No. 61 PIRTEAK Chevrolet.
- Graham Rahal No. 15 Steak and Shake Honda over Charlie Kimball No. 42 Tresiba Chevrolet.
- Carlos Munoz No. 26 United Fiber and Data Honda over Sage Karam No. 24 DRR-Kingdom Chevrolet.
- Mikhail Aleshin No. 7 DOOM Honda over Takuma Sato No. 14 ABC Supply Honda.
Next up was the quarter finals which again saw eight drivers complete to move on to the semi-finals. The results from the quarter finals are as follows:
- Ryan Hunter Reay No. 28 DHL Honda over James Hinchcliffe No. 5 Arrow Electronic Honda.
- Helio Castroneves No. 3 Pennzoil Chevrolet over Graham Rahal No. 15 Steak and Shake Honda.
- Carlos Munoz No. 26 United Fiber and Data Honda over Juan Pablo Montoya No. 2 Verizon Chevrolet.
- Mikhail Aleshin No. 7 DOOM Honda over Scott Dixon No. 10 Target Chevrolet.
Next was the Semi-finals where four drivers competed to make in into the finals. The results are as follows:
- Helio Castroneves No. 3 Pennzoil Chevrolet over Ryan Hunter Reay No. 28 DHL Honda.
- Mikhail Aleshin No. 7 DOOM Honda over Carlos Munoz No. 26 United Fiber and Data Honda
The finals would come down to Castroneves and Aleshin with Castroneves pulling out the win.
