A persistent mist around the track and consistent rain showers throughout the day mixed with threats of thunderstorms forced NASCAR’s hands into postponing this afternoon’s Axalta ‘We Paint Winners’ 400.
The race, which was under a rain delay for more than an hour before NASCAR called it, is now tentatively scheduled to start at noon local time on Monday, and will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1. The postponement makes it the first NASCAR points race of the season to be pushed back a day.
Team Penske teammates Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano will lead the field to the green tomorrow when the race finally goes green.
