For the second time in his rookie season, Jordan Howse can call himself a feature race winner as he dominated on Saturday night en route to scoring the victory.
Nick Troback won the first heat ahead of Howse, Jade Franklin, Anthony DiBello, Tyler Liscum, Miles Tyson, Kendra Adams, John Latimer, Ric Watson and Ken Semkin.
The second heat saw Fedele DiBello get the mechanical black flag on Lap 7 for a flat tire. Stan Coe picked up the win ahead of Dan Archibald, Ken Grubb, Matt Bentley, Justin Holmes, Paul Allard, Herb Walters, Mike Weeda and Dustyn Mombourquette.
Stefan Semeraro won the third heat ahead of Treyten Lapcevich, Johnny Morrison, Nick Tooley, Ryan Semple, Frank Davey, Coltin Everingham and Ethan Constable.
Troback went for the daily double, winning the Fast Qualifier’s Dash ahead of Coe, Weeda, Lapcevich, Semeraro, Franklin, Archibald, DiBello, Bentley, Morrison, Grubb and Tooley.
The b-main didn’t go smoothly as Watson got loose, with Fedele DiBello getting into him and spinning him on Lap 4. Tyler Liscum picked up the win ahead of Semple, Tyson, Holmes, Allard, Weeda, Walters, Everingham, Mombourquette, Davey, Adams, Constable, Latimer, Semkin, DiBello and Watson.
Come feature time, it’d be Nick Tooley starting pole ahead of Miles Tyson, Jordan Howse, Stefan Semeraro, Mike Weeda, Ken Grubb, Dan Archibald, Nick Troback, Paul Allard, Ryan Semple, Treyten Lapcevich, Justin Holmes, Jade Franklin, Matt Bentley, Tyler Liscum, Stan Coe, Anthony DiBello, Johnny Morrison, Herb Walters, Dustyn Mombourquette, Frank Davey, Kendra Adams, Ethan Constable, John Latimer, Ken Semkin, Fedele DiBello and Ric Watson.
It’d be Miles Tyson leading the first lap behind the wheel of the No. 49 UXBRIDGE AUTO WRECKERS, JMX DEMOLITION & ENVIRONMENT, TYSON CONTRACTING, WIX FILTERS AND PERMATEX Super Stock ahead of Jordan Howse as Weeda and Tooley battled for third. Weeda took the spot on Lap 2, bringing Archibald through with him for fourth. Tooley ran fifth ahead of Semeraro as Semple and Grubb battled for seventh on Lap 3.
The first caution flew on Lap 6, though, as Franklin tagged Coe, stacking the field up, which resulted Anthony DiBello spinning Liscum around off of turn four. With 25 laps to go, Tyson led Howse, Weeda, Archibald, Tooley, Semeraro, Semple, Grubb, Troback, Holmes, Lapcevich, Bentley, Allard, Morrison, Coe, Franklin, Everingham, Davey and Walters.
The first attempt at a restart didn’t go well as Franklin didn’t go due to a right front flat, stacking up the back half of the field. Meanwhile towards the front, contact ensued down the backstretch resulting in both Tooley and Semeraro getting into the wall for the caution. Tooley was able to return to the race, while Semeraro was done for the night.
Howse got a good restart to put the No. 8 MACMASTER BUICK GMC OF ORANGEVILLE, STEWART’S EQUIPMENT, KUBOTA, GLENN WINDREM TRUCKING, PAUL HOWSE AND ASSOCIATES, FOODLAND OF HILLSBURGH, JOHN TEUNE ENGINES, FIERCEWRAPS.CA, DUTCHBOY CARPET CLEANING, SPECIALIZED WELDING, LARUE’S HAULAGE AND GEORGIA BECK BROOMS Super Stock out front ahead of Tyson as Archibald and Weeda battled for third ahead of Semple and Troback.
The third caution then flew on Lap 10, though, as Semkin spun in turns three and four. With 20 to go, Howse led Tyson, Archibald, Weeda, Semple, Troback, Lapcevich, Coe, Bentley, Grubb, Everingham, Allard, Constable, Walters, Adams, Liscum, Fedele DiBello, Anthony DiBello, Latimer, Franklin, Holmes, Morrison, Watson, Tooley and Semkin.
Howse got a good restart to keep the lead ahead of Tyson as Archibald and Weeda continued to battle for third. Archibald got the spot, getting alongside Tyson for second as Semple got alongside Weeda for fourth. The caution then flew once again on Lap 13 as Constable spun in turn three.
Howse got another good restart as Archibald moved into second, while Tyson and Weeda battled for fourth. Tyson was able to keep the spot, with Semple getting alongside Weeda for fourth at halfway ahead of Lapcevich. Semple got the spot on Lap 18, with Lapcevich getting alongside Weeda for fifth at Lap 18.
The fifth caution flew two laps later, though, as Constable got loose, coming down the track – right into the path of Semkin. Both cars would be done for the night with heavy damage.
The first attempt at a restart got messy with three-, four-wide racing through the field with the sixth caution coming out on Lap 23 for Tyson and Weeda getting together in turn two, collecting Grubb. Lapcevich was possibly the cause as he was sent to the back as an involved car. With eight laps to go, Howse led Archibald, Semple, Bentley, Coe, Troback, Liscum, Anthony DiBello, Franklin, Allard, Everingham, Walters, Holmes, Fedele DiBello and Morrison.
Howse got another good restart, leaving Semple and Archibald to battle for second. Archibald got the spot on Lap 24, with Bentley getting alongside Semple for third – getting the spot two laps later.
It was all Jordan Howse, though, as he’d hold on to score the victory ahead of Dan Archibald, Matt Bentley, Ryan Semple, Stan Coe, Nick Troback, Tyler Liscum, Anthony DiBello, Jade Franklin, Justin Holmes, Johnny Morrison, Stan Coe, Treyten Lapcevich, Miles Tyson, Paul Allard, Mike Weeda, Coltin Everingham, Fedele DiBello, Kendra Adams, John Latimer, Ric Watson and Ken Grubb.
