After three events to start the season, it’s time for things to shrink down a size for the OSCAAR Midgets as they will take on the tight bull-ring shaped 1/4 mile known as Full Throttle Motor Speedway. It should be an action packed weekend as they’ll be joined there by the OSCAAR Modifieds, as well as FTMS Mini Stocks, Street Stocks, Fun Stocks and Late Models.
James Stanley was on a roll with six straight top-six finish dating back to last year – till this past weekend at Grand Bend Speedway, where he unfortunately suffered an 11th place finish. He has been strong at Full Throttle in the past with a pair of top-10s last year.
Richard Woodland hopes to improve upon last year’s third place finish at Full Throttle. He has started off his season with three straight podium finishes, including a win at Grand Bend.
Wayne McKibbon has started off this year real well with three straight top-seven finishes. He’ll look to carry the success forward at Full Throttle after failing to post a top-10 there last season.
Brian MacDoanld has been strong at Full Throttle, posting a pair of top-10s last year. He hopes to continue his early season success after posting a top-eight finish in each of the first three races.
Alex Cuzilla posted his best finish of the year so far at Grand Bend, finishing eighth. He’ll look to be stronger this weekend in his second trip to the bullring.
Wally Wilson has started off the year with three straight top-nine finishes. He hopes to score his fourth straight top-10 finish after failing to post a top-15 finish last year at Full Throttle.
Larry Lawson is on a roll with two straight top-five finishes. He hopes to a good run at Full Throttle after finishing 10th last spring.
Russ Couture may have started off a little rough with a quick roll-over in his debut at Flamboro, but he has posted a three top-10 finishes despite that, including a season-best of sixth last week at Grand Bend. He’ll look to continue improving with possibly his first top-five this weekend.
Ryan Brown caught people off-guard at Grand Bend, scoring a heat victory followed by a runner-up finish in the main event. He hopes to carry the early season momentum to Full Throttle after finishing 10th last fall.
Zack Milman hasn’t started off his rookie campaign as he hoped with only one top-10 in the first three races. The rookie is no doubt looking to have a smooth day come Saturday.
Shawn Stanley enters this weekend with momentum after a pair of top-10 finishes. He was solid last year at Full Throttle, finishing seventh and ninth in the pair of races.
Bill Heatherton didn’t have the 2016 debut he had hoped for at Peterborough with a 12th place finish. While he hasn’t attended FTMS with OSCAAR to date, he knows how to run in the top-10 with the midgets as he finished eighth last year at Peterborough’s Autumn Colours Classic.
Darryl Anthony made his first start of the year at Peterborough, running into issues. With those issues sorted out, he’ll be hoping to get some solid track time under his belt this weekend.
Brian Woodland is hoping to keep the early season momentum rolling after winning the season opener at Flamboro Speedway, followed by a third place finish at Peterborough Speedway. He knows what it takes to win at Full Throttle Motor Speedway, after posting a pair of top-fives last year.
