Two time Texas Truck Series winner Matt Crafton found himself in a familiar position Thursday Evening after first practice for tomorrow night’s Rattlesnake 400 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Crafton set the fastest speed during the 45 minute practice session with a mark of 30.176 seconds (178.950 MPH). Just .067 second ahead of Timothy Peters.
John Wes Townley was third followed by: Daniel Hemric and rookie sensation William Byron rounding out the top five.
Spencer Gallagher was 6th followed by: Ben Rhodes, Johnny Sauter, Rico Abreu, and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top ten.
Notables include: Parker Kligerman 11th, Ben Kennedy 12th, German Quiroga 13th, Christopher Bell 14th, Cole Custer 17th, and John Hunter Nemechek in 19th.
