Due to a weather forecast for rain, Full Throttle Motor Speedway officials made the decision on Friday afternoon to cancel this weekend’s races.
OSCAAR will be back in action on June 18 at Flamboro Speedway with all four divisions – Super Late Models, Modifieds, Midgets and Pro Midgets – in attendance.
This will mark the first event for the Super Late Models since the season opener at Flamboro on May 21. J.R. Fizpatrick picked up the feature victory to currently lead the series point standings, six points ahead of Roy Passer. Charlie Gallant is third, followed by Shawn Chenoweth and Todd Campbell.
Fitzpatrick currently leads the Race Time Radio – Sirius XM 167 OSCAAR Super Late Model Hard Charger Award standings, one point ahead of Passer. Tyler Hawn is third, followed by Dustin Jackson and Gary Passer. The Hard Charger standings is determined by how many positions a driver gains during the course of a feature from their starting spot. Throughout the year, each driver gains a point per position gained towards the year-end award – like a ‘race within a race’. At the end of the season, the win will receive prizes courtesy of RTR and SiriusXM at the banquet.
Following the first three races of the Modified season, A.J. Emms currently leads the series point standings, six points ahead of Gary McLean. Luke Gignac is third, followed by Cory Horner and David Balych.
Horner currently leads the Race Time Radio – Sirius XM 167 OSCAAR Modified Hard Charger Award standings, six points ahead of Balych. Monty Kelly is third, followed by Rick Schurr and Duane Cinnamon.
This will mark the fourth event of the season for the OSCAAR Midgets after Richard Woodland won the most recent race at Grand Bend Speedway ahead of Ryan Brown, Brian MacDonald, Larry Lawson and Wayne McKibbon.
The OSCAAR Pro Midgets ran their inaugural race at Peterborough Speedway at the end of May with Ted Greenwood picking up the win. Despite having two events under their belt already, this will mark the first weekend where points are up for grabs as the first two races were used as Test and Tune events.
