Eric Yorke may have gotten off to a slow start, but he’s picking up speed right away as he won his second feature victory of the season on Sunday afternoon.
Terry Woodly won the first heat ahead of Yorke, Mike Robinson Jr., Bob Phinnemore, Dave Crumbie, JP Rosevaar and Stefan Woyslaw.
The second heat didn’t go as Steve Belanger wanted as he started smoking, pulling off before completion. Nic Montanari won the heat ahead of Gerritt Tiemersma, Charlie Smith, Jake Watson, Cory Young and Chris Allard.
Starting on the pole for the feature, Eric Yorke put the No. 51 Can-Alignment Motorsports, Milton Napa Auto Parts, J&D Tire, Solex Steel, McKeown Collision, Partimer Signs, Ancaster Embroidery, Country Girl Designs, Cabral Racing Promotions and Skytec Rentals Nissan out front ahead of Smith, Allard, Robinson Jr. and Belanger as Watson battled Melson for sixth.
McLean got the spot on Lap 3, bringing Phinnemore, Tiemersma and Young through with him. Further up the field, Robinson got by Allard to move up to third on Lap 6. Watson ran fifth ahead of Tiemersma and Young, while Phinnemore battled Montanari for eighth. Montanari got the spot on Lap 7, bringing Woodley through with him.
Behind Phinnemore, Rosevaar ran 11th ahead of Melson, as Woyslaw and Crumbie battled for 13th. Crumbie got the spot on Lap 14, passing Melson for 12th a lap later.
At the front of the field, Eric Yorke cruised to the victory ahead of Charlie Smith, Mike Robinson Jr., Chris Allard, Jake Watson, Gerritt Tiemersma, Cory Young, Nic Montanari, Terry Woodley, Bob Phinnemore, JP Rosevaar, Dave Crumbie, Steeve Melson and Stefan Woyslaw.
