Eric Yorke may have gotten off to a slow start, but he’s picking up speed right away as he won his second feature victory of the season on Sunday afternoon. As a whole, the weekend was solid as he was able to score a seventh place finish on Saturday night.
After winning last week’s feature, Eric Yorke started the night in victory lane on Saturday by winning his heat. He then followed it with a win in the Fast Qualifier’s Dash.
As the previous race week’s winner, Yorke had to start 14th for the 25-lap feature. He quickly began to make up ground, moving up to eighth by Lap 11. He’d then pass Chris Allard at Lap 18 to move up to the seventh spot. From there on, he was unable to make up any ground, crossing the finish line in the seventh spot.
On Sunday, he started off the afternoon by finishing second in his heat before drawing the pole for the feature. Starting from the first position, Yorke put the No. 51 Can-Alignment Motorsports, Milton Napa Auto Parts, J&D Tire, Solex Steel, McKeown Collision, Partimer Signs, Ancaster Embroidery, Country Girl Designs, Cabral Racing Promotions and Skytec Rentals Nissan out front. He’d then cruise to victory lane, scoring the win with a straightaway lead ahead of Charlie Smith.
Special thanks to Can-Alignment Motorsports, Milton Napa Auto Parts, J&D Tire, Solex Steel, McKeown Collision, Partimer Signs, Ancaster Embroidery, Country Girl Designs, Cabral Racing Promotions and Skytec Rentals for their support.
