KOOL KIDZ-CORR/PAK 360 SPRINT CARS (19 entries)
Mitch Brown started 2nd and led the 360 Sprint Car feature from start to finish to claim his second win of the Ohsweken season. Polesitter Cory Turner gave chase over much of the 20 lap distance, but saw 14th starter Glenn Styres steal the runner-up spot away with 2 laps to go.
Cory Turner settled for 3rd, followed by Jim Huppunen, and 17th starter Ryan Turner. Dave Dykstra saw a top 5 finish slip through his fingers when he rolled to a stop in turn three on the last lap. Dylan Westbrook came into the night off a runner-up finish last week, and had just broken into the top five when mechanical problems derailed his race on lap 8.
Heat race wins went to Cory Turner, Dave Dykstra, and Mitch Brown, while Dylan Westbrook won the Ackland Insurance Top Gun Award. Mitch Brown now holds the Championship standings lead by 9 points over brother Jake, who leads the Rookie of the Year standings.

STRICKLAND’S GMC CRATE SPRINT CARS (17 entries)
Front row starters Ryan Hunsinger and Mack DeMan raced side-by-side for many of the first 18 laps of the Crate Sprint Car feature, but a potentially close finish went by the wayside when Hunsinger ran out of fuel.
A lengthy yellow flag period didn’t help Hunsinger, as his car faltered after a late restart. DeMan capitalized on the opportunity to drive away and take his first Crate Sprint Car feature win of the season, while Jesse McDonald stole the runner-up spot from Brad Herron on the last lap. Herron settled for third, followed by Aaron Turkey and 12th starter Josh Shantz.
Heat race wins went to Mike Thorne and Brad Herron, while Herron also claimed the Ackland Insurance Top Gun Award. Ryan Hunsinger’s lead in the Championship standings has been erased, as Josh Shantz is just 1 point behind Hunsinger, and Brad Herron is just 3 points behind Shantz. AFFORDABLE TOWING & RECOVERY THUNDER STOCKS (31 entries)
Rob Murray made a huge move early in his first Ohsweken Thunder Stock feature of the season, as he went from 21st to 16th on the first lap, and then all the way to 5th by the end of lap 2. He then squeezed around eventual race winner Ryan Dinning on lap 4, and past early leader Ken Sargent on lap 8.
Murray held the lead just ahead of a big pack of contenders until lap 13, when Dinning’s pressure and nudging of Murray finally opened the door for Dinning. Dinning stayed out front for the remainder of the race, while the rest of the top 5 positions seemed to change hands each lap. Karl Sault claimed the runner-up spot, followed by Murray, Dave Bailey, and Dereck Lemyre.
Heat race wins went to Kacey Huffman, Ryan Dinning, Dereck Lemyre, and Dale Gyokery. Dave Bailey’s lead in the Championship standings sits at 13 points over Karl Sault, while Jason Lungaro leads the Rookie of the Year standings.

HRW AUTOMOTIVE MINI STOCKS (32 entries)
Brandon Crumbie started 17th and quickly made his way to the front of the Mini Stock feature, but saw Mark Bazuin get by the veteran of pavement racing on lap 8. Crumbie admitted afterwards that Bazuin looked to have the race in hand until his car suffered a flat tire just before a restart with 3 laps remaining.
Bazuin’s misfortune allowed Crumbie to re-assume the lead and go on to win his first dirt track feature. Chris Ryckman drove from 16th to finish 2nd, while Nick Sarantakos charged from 25th to 3rd, followed by Rob Twitchett and Martin Schroeder.
Heat race wins went to Rob Twitchett, Chris French, and Chris Ryckman, while Patrick Abrahamsson won the B-Feature. Problems for Jon Janssens allowed his brother Brandon to break the tie atop the Championship standings and open a 19 point lead over Chris Ryckman, while Jon fell to 4th. Brandon Crumbie now leads the Rookie of the Year standings over Dusty Deboer.
