As we hit the two month mark of the 2016 Sunset Speedway Signs of Innovation Mighty Mini season, here is a glance at what has happened by the numbers.
1.833 is rookie Johnny Paradzinski’s average finish in the first six races.
2 drivers have won two Dash for Cashes each – Chris Allard and Paradzinski
3 heat victories by Daniel Montanari leads all drivers
3 feature victories by Paradzinski and his No. 4 Stella Auto, Mega Wheelz, Prime Motors, Vinyl Obsessed and Image Wraps Honda Civic leads all drivers so far this year.
4 drivers have won a feature this year
5 drivers have finished each heat in the top-five – Joe Dunlop, Paradzinski, Montanari, Dylan Holmes and Doug Wilman
6 feature top-fives for Paradzinski have him as the only driver to complete all six races to start the year in the top-five. Notably, his worst finish of the season came on opening night with a fourth.
7 drivers have won a heat race this season
7 – Sophomore Billy McLeod is learning his No. 7 entry very well, boosting an average finish of 9.67 in the first six races this year with his worst finish being 14th.
9 – Daniel Montanari drove his No. 9 entry to his first career feature victory on June 4, edging Paradzinski out at the line by a bumper.
11 drivers have posted a feature top-five finish this season.
14 – After picking up his first career heat victory, Doug Wilman has continued to show speed behind the wheel of the No. 14 Rama’s Original D’s Smoke Shack, Muskoka Bay Clothing and Cabral Racing Promotions Acura with three feature top-fives.
15 drivers have scored at least one heat top-five this year
18 drivers have posted a feature top-10 finish this season
21 – Ken Townsend made his return to victory lane behind the wheel of the No. 21 Honda Civic on June 11.
22 – Scoring his first heat victory of the year a couple weeks ago, Chandler Bos has been solid behind the wheel of the No. 22 with only one feature finish outside of the top-seven in the first six races.
39 points is the current points lead Paradzinski holds over Bos
67 – Melissa Bullen drove her No. 67 Cabral Racing Promotions, NGK Spark Plugs, Northway Tire LTD. Wix Filters, Ryan’s Landscaping, K&J General Contracting, Redline Signs & Apparel, Castrol Canada, Permatex, Kevin’s Media Streamer INL3D & Paul Howse & Associates Mustang to a b-main victory this season. Notably, she has only failed to post a top-10 in the feature once so far this year.
76 – Chris Allard drove his No. 76 Georgian Chevrolet Buick, Hair We Go Stayner, Morley Photography, Weldit Creations, Surb Hard and Soft Scales and Cabral Racing Promotion Mini Stock to feature victory lane on opening night. Notably, Allard took the win and posted a fourth place finish in the Velocity 250 before moving up to the GGC Construction Corporation Mini Stock Division.
84 – Lisa DeLeeuw is figuring out her No. 84 Partimer Sign, Gelderman Landscape Services, Royal Synergies Collision, Skytech Rentals, Solex Steel, Safeway Towing, BDS Enterprises, Can-Alignment, Auto Clinic, Scentsy Independent Consultant, Real Burger Company, Cabral Racing Promotions and Country Girl Design Mustang, posting a top-10 finish in five of the six races this year.
400 – Dylan Holmes is getting a knack for the No. 400 Mustang as he’s posted a pair of runner-up feature finishes so far.
