It was announced on June 30, Texas Motor Speedway would be giving special perks for fans to attend the completion of the Firestone 600 which is set for August 27. The race which was originally ran on June 12 was postponed due to rain after 71 laps.
At 9 p.m. ET on Aug. 27, the green flag will drop and the rest of the 177 laps will be ran. The race will be live on NBCSN as well as broadcast on the Advance Autoparts IndyCar Radio Network. “The Restart Your Engines” will start with a series practice session at 5:30 p.m. ET and will also include a driver autograph session with all the drivers running in the completion at the main concourse beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Firestone 600 was originally to be the ninth race of the 2016 season, however on June 11 rain impacted the area and the race was postponed till the next day. 71 laps were ran when the Red flag came out.
