On the heels of some early season success, Ryan Hunter-Reay looks to keep things rolling in Iowa.
The driver of the No. 28 DHL Honda has had a pretty decent season thus far with three top-fives and six top-10s, in which two were podium finishes. Notably, the American driver runs good at Iowa Speedway as he is the reigning Iowa Corn 250 race winner. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native has won the race three times in total. Additionally, the 2014 Indy 500 Champion also has four podiums and seven top-10s.
The 2012 IndyCar Champion currently drives for Andretti Autosport, who as a team has won the race at Iowa five times. For some reason AA just has the track down and this gives the Racing for Cancer founder an extra bit of confidence coming into the race at a track he loves.
“Iowa is certainly one of the highlights on the schedule for our team,” RHR stated. “Great facility, great racing and we have a pretty impressive record to defend. We’ll be pushing the DHL Honda hard to earn our 4th win there, but it seems every year it becomes harder to achieve.”
