The OSCAAR Pro Midgets have just begun, but we may have a series master in the making already as Ted Greenwood scored his second career victory on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway.
The first heat didn’t start off as Cassidy March wanted in his debut, having to pull off with problems. June feature winner Shawn Paul scored his first career heat win ahead of Greenwood and Jordan Hanna.
Willy Northcott continued his winning ways, picking up his second career heat win ahead of Glen Blaker and Josh Ackworth. Notably, Wally Wilson ran into issues during the heat, forcing him to pull off early.
Greenwood picked up his sixth career heat victory ahead of Paul and Wilson in the third heat.
The fourth heat didn’t go as March or Blaker wanted, both having to pull off with issues. Jordan Hanna picked up his first career heat victory ahead of Northcott and Ackworth.
The feature also didn’t go as some hoped as Blaker’s problems continued, forcing him off the track on Lap 3 at his season debut. Meanwhile, Jordan Hanna led early ahead of Greenwood, Northcott, Ackworth, Paul, Wilson and March.
Hanna’s was short lived, though, as he’d passed by on Lap 6 by Ted Greenwood. Meanwhile, March was forced pit side with a problem on Lap 7 as Northcott passed Hanna for second at Lap 8. Hanna was hoping for a strong showing for his series debut, but saw his night end early when he caught fire on the last lap, forcing him into the infield.
Ted Greenwood picked up the win ahead of Willy Northcott, Jack Ackworth, Shawn Paul, Wally Wilson, Jordan Hanna, Cassidy March and Glen Blaker.
