In the NASCAR Pinty’s Series return to Toronto, a familiar name reigned at the top of the time sheet.
Alex Tagliani led the only practice for the series ahead of qualifying and race action with a lap of 82.502 seconds behind the wheel of the No.18 EpiPen/Riobel/ComplexeJCP/Juste du Pin Chevrolet. The Quebec native enters this weekend with momentum following three top-six finishes, including a victory at Sunset Speedway.
Daniel Morad was second quickest, 1.041 seconds behind, as he makes his first start behind the wheel since 2011. Morad previously competed in the Indy Lights Series and GP3.
Current points leader Andrew Ranger was third quickest, followed by LP Dumoulin and Kevin Lacroix.
Patrick Dussault was sixth quickest as he gets set for his third career series start, followed by Alex Labbe, Kerry Micks, J.F. Dumoulin and Jason Hathaway.
The Pinty’s Series returns to the streets of Toronto at 5pm EST for time trials.
