Simon Pagenaud, driver of the No.22 PPG Automotive Refinish Chevrolet, was fastest in second practice for the Honda Indy Toronto, with a speed of 104.194.
Penske teammates Helio Castroneves and Will Power were behind him in second and third with the speeds of 103.855 (Castroneves) and 103.607 (Power).
Finishing out the top-five was Scott Dixon and James Hinchcliffe with the speeds of 103.586 (Dixon) and 103.392 (Hinch).
Rounding out the top-10 was Sebastien Bourdais, Tony Kanaan, Graham Rahal, Carlos Munoz and Jack Hawksworth.
There was one full yellow caution thrown during practice for Juan Pablo Montoya making contact with the turn 11 wall. There was also a red flag thrown for a Mikhail Aleshin spin and for Charlie Kimball making contact with the turn 11 wall as well.
