Defending Eldora Truck Series winner Christopher Bell showed he wasn’t ready to relinquish the crown in Tuesday night’s final practice session for tomorrow’s Aspen Dental Eldora Dirt Derby.
Bell piloted his No.4 JBL Toyota Tundra around the famed half mile Ohio dirt oval in a time of 21.853 seconds (82.369 MPH). Bell’s lap was .127 seconds ahead of second place Cameron Hayley.
Rico Abreu was third followed by Kyle Larson and Ben Rhodes.
Bobby Pierce, Tyler Reddick, Matt Crafton, Daniel Hemric, and Ben Kennedy rounded out the top ten on the speed chart.
Notables include: Jake Griffin 11th, Timothy Peters 13th, Cole Custer 14th, Brady Boswell 15th, John Hunter Nemechek 16th, Ken Schrader 17th, Johnny Sauter 19th, William Byron 22nd, and Cody Coughlin 24th.
Rico Abreu had the fastest 10 lap average in the final practice session followed by: Rhodes, Hayley, Larson, and Pierce.
