The success continues rolling in for Rick Spencer-Walt as he picked up his second straight feature victory at Peterborough Speedway, scoring the victory at the Mid-Summer Bash.
The night didn’t start out as planned with an oil leak to kick off the night of action. However, repairs were quickly made and by feature time, everything worked out in Spencer-Walt’s favor as he was able to lead the field to the green flag alongside Amanda Balson. Spencer-Walt took the top spot off the drop of the green flag, and despite a late-race restart with five laps to go, there was no keeping him out of victory lane as he picked up the win.
The victory just adds to the numbers this year for Walt Motorsports as in seven races this season (five at Peterborough, two at Sunset), Spencer-Walt has now posted four wins and seven top-five finishes. Notably, the highlight of the year thus far being the victory at the Chase for the Colours, which will allow him to lead the field to the green at the Autumn Colours Classic in October.
