Owen Elliott had a career night on Saturday night at Peterborough Speedway for the Chase for the Colours as he scored his first career feature victory.
Owen Elliott won the first heat ahead of James Stanley, Wayne McKibbon, Dave Bradley, Ryan Brown, Zack Millman and Craig Deacon.
Shawn Stanley won the second heat ahead of Brian MacDonald, Darryl Anthony, Wally Wilson, Bill Heatherton and Dave Campbell.
Wally Wilson won the third heat ahead of Brian MacDonald, Wayne McKibbon, Ryan Brown, Dave Campbell and Dave Bradley.
Owen Elliott went for the daily double, winning the fourth heat ahead of Shawn Stanley, James Stanley, Bill Heatherton, Craig Deacon and Darryl Anthony.
Come feature time, James Stanley and Wayne McKibbon led the field to the green flag for the 25-lap feature. However, Owen Elliott made his move quickly, picking up the lead and checking out to nearly a half a track advantage. Despite losing ground in the closing stages as he weaved through lap traffic, he was unstoppable as he picked up the victory.
James Stanley finished second for his third straight podium finish, followed by Brian MacDonald with his fifth straight podium finish. Wayne McKibbon and Ryan Brown rounded out the top-five, both scoring their sixth top-fives of the season.
Wally Wilson finished sixth for his seventh top-10 of the year, followed by Zack Millman, Craig Deacon, Dave Campbell and Bill Heatherton.
Dave Bradley finished 11th, followed by Darryl Anthony and Shawn Stanley.
