After a pair of solid features last weekend, the OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Models are set to head to Flamboro Speedway for the Don Biederman Memorial. With lots of experience throughout the field, there should be lots of great racing for the fans to see.
Everybody will have their eyes on Shane Maginnis this weekend as he made his return to outlaw super late model racing in a big way last month, scoring a dominating victory at Flamboro in June. He then backed it up with a runner-up finish at Delaware on July 22.
J.R. Fitzpatrick enters this weekend looking to return to victory lane after posting a pair of podiums last weekend at Peterborough. It’s well known the Cambridge, Ontario native can get around the Hamilton-based oval, though, as he has a pair of wins and runner-up in three starts this year.
Four-time series champion Glenn Watson would love to get a win, and knows what it takes to get around the Hamilton, Ontario oval. In 10 previous OSCAAR starts at Flamboro, he has two wins and seven top-fives.
Gary Passer has lots of experience in the OSCAAR ranks and hopes to continue his solid start this year after posting a top-seven finish in each of the three races this year.
After spending some time away, Jim Bowman made his return behind the wheel of a super late model this year. He got off to a solid start, posting a seventh place finish. Unfortunately, a mechanical issue sidelined him in his last start.
Tyler Hawn had been successful so far this year, posting a top-10 in each of the races, highlighted by a fifth in the season opener.
Charlie Gallant knows what it takes to run well at Flamboro as he finished second to Jeff Hanley in 2013. He’s also done well so far this year with top-10s on a weekly basis, including a pair of top-fives at Flamboro.
Fresh off his first career feature victory at Peterborough, Roy Passer hopes to be at the front of the field as he’s proven to know his way around Flamboro. Notably, he has posted a podium finish in each of his three Flamboro Speedway starts this year.
Kelly Balson will be looking for his second straight win after posting a win and fourth last weekend at Peterborough in his 2016 season debut.
Todd Campbell surprised a lot of people last year, posting five straight top-10 finishes. So far this year, he’s off to a solid start as he finished 10th in the season opener, followed by a sixth and a second.
Rob Reimer continues to get stronger with each Super Late Model start as he posted an eight place finish in June, followed by a 12th place finish in May.
Dustin Jackson impressed in his OSCAAR debut in May, posting a sixth place finish. Known for having success on the modified tour, he’ll be looking to crack the top-five this weekend.
Along with the OSCAAR Super Late Models at Flamboro Speedway this Saturday will be the OSCAAR Modifieds, OSCAAR Midgets and OSCAAR Pro Midgets.
