SS Green Light Racing will add a new face to their NASCAR Camping World Truck Series program at Bristol Motor Speedway next week.
Matt Mills will make his series debut driving the team’s No. 07 Thompson Electric Chevrolet Silverado.
The 19-year-old Ohio driver will be the 12th different driver to take the wheel of the No. 07 this year for the Bobby Dotter-owned team. Todd Peck most recently drove the truck at Pocono Raceway where he finished 21st.
“It’s a dream come true to be racing in NASCAR,” Mills said. “I cannot thank SS Green Light Racing and Thompson Electric enough for the opportunity to drive the No. 07 Chevrolet Silverado. Bristol is a bucket list track for any race fan, let alone race car driver. Making my debut at such a historic race track is going to be really special.”
Mills ran a four-race schedule in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour in 2015, scoring two top-10 finishes.
Mills’ debut will come in the UNOH 200 on Wednesday, August 17.
