Chris Bueschers, driver of the No. 34 Ford, will pay a special tribute to Love’s Travel Stops during the Bojangles Southern 500 Labor Day Weekend at Darlington Raceway.
Darlington will be having their second annual throwback weekend and Buescher’s Ford will carry Love’s colors from 1981, which is when Love opened its doors to its first travel stop in Amarillo, Texas on his livery. Since its opening in 1981, Love has opened more than 390 travel stops in 40 different states and employs over 15,000 people.
“The Darlington throwback weekend has become a pretty big deal, and it’s cool to have Love’s Travel Stops bring some of their history into the race weekend with their old colors,” Buescher stated. “Darlington is my favorite track and I can’t wait to get there and turn some laps in this special Love’s Ford Fusion.”
