Joey Logano, driver of the No.22 Shell Pennzoil Ford, won the Pole at Michigan International Speedway with a speed of 201.698mph.
Jimmie Johnson (201.523mph) and Denny Hamlin ( 201.416 mph) followed in second and third. Topping off the top-five was Kevin Harvick (201.382 mph) and Chase Elliot (201.303 mph).
Completing the top-10 was Alex Bowman, Ryan Blaney, Jamie McMurray, Carl Edwards and Ryan Newman.
Jeffery Earnhardt did not post a lap during the session and will start the race at the back of the field. There were no other issues in qualifying.
