Scott Dixon, driver of the No.9 Target Chevrolet, was fastest in second practice, for the Grand Prix of Watkins Glen at Watkins Glen International, with the speed of 146.391mph.
Team Penske teammates Helio Castroneves ( 146.111 mph) and Will Power (146.043 mph) were second and third. Completing the top-five were Tony Kanaan (145.851 mph) and Juan Pablo Montoya (145.529 mph).
Rounding out the top-10 were Jack Hawksworth, Graham Rahal, Josef Newgarden, Sebastien Bourdais and Max Chilton.
There was one red flag towards the end of practice for spins by Simon Pagenaud and Kanaan.
