Four-time Richmond Sprint Cup race winner Kyle Busch led the way in Friday Morning’s first practice in preparation for tomorrow night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway.
Busch piloted his No.18 M&M’s Toyota Camry around the .750 oval in a time of 22.318 seconds (120.979 MPH). Busch’s lap was .061 seconds quicker than last week’s winner at Darlington, Martin Truex Jr. who was second.
Denny Hamlin was third followed by Kasey Kahne and Matt Kenseth.
Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano, Carl Edwards, Jamie McMurray, and Kyle Larson rounded out the top ten.
Notables include: Jimmie Johnson 11th, Tony Stewart 12th, Kevin Harvick 13th, Kurt Busch 17th, Ryan Newman 18th, Ryan Newman 19th, Brad Keselowski 20th, Chase Elliott 21st, and Austin Dillon 23rd.
