Casey Mears was the fastest man in Richmond during Friday Afternoon’s final practice for tomorrow’s Federated Auto Parts 400.
Mears ran a quick lap of 22.396 seconds (120.557 MPH). Kyle Larson was second, just .086 seconds off the pace set by Mears.
Martin Truex Jr. was third followed by: Jamie McMurray and Tony Stewart.
Greg Biffle, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, and Joey Logano rounded out the top ten.
Notables include: Brad Keselowski 11th, Austin Dillon 12th, Kasey Kahne 13th, Jeff Gordon 14th, Ryan Blaney 16th, Kyle Busch 17th, Carl Edwards 20th, Kevin Harvick 21st, Ryan Newman 23rd, Matt Kenseth 26th, and Chase Elliott 30th.
Carl Edwards set the fastest 10 lap average in final practice followed by: Kenseth, Hamlin, Kyle Busch, and Truex Jr.
