Alon Day became the first Israeli driver to compete in the NASCAR XFINITY Series back in August, and now in September, Day will become the first Israeli to compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Day will make his Truck Series debut driving for Contreras Motorsports at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday.
Fresh off his NASCAR Whelen Euro Series win in Italy, the NASCAR Next driver will race the No. 71 FLWaterfront.com Chevrolet Silverado for Carlos Contreras.
Day made a big splash in his XFINITY Series debut driving for Carl Long Motorsports at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in August. Day ran in the top-five for most of the race before finishing 13th.
The race at New Hampshire will be his first oval track start in one of NASCAR’s top-three series.
