Denny Hamlin passed Dale Earnhardt Jr. with two laps to go and ultimately held off Clint Bowyer and Kurt Busch to gain his third career Can-Am Duel victory. Bowyer just nudged teammate Busch to finish second while AJ Allmendinger and Austin Dillon round out the Top-5.
Earnhardt Jr. led a race high 53 laps but was relegated to a sixth place finish earning five points and will enter the Daytona 500 tied with Matt Kenseth for sixth in points.
By just four one-hundredths of a second, DJ Kennington will compete in his first Daytona 500 while Reed Sorenson and Timmy Hill will load up, head home, and get ready for Atlanta.
