NASCAR Next member Ty Majeski signed a driver development deal with Roush-Fenway Racing last May. Less than a year later, and it’s been announced the Wisconsin driver will make his NASCAR XFINITY Series debut this June.
Eric Peterson, driver development coordinator for Roush-Fenway Racing, told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that Majeski’s debut will come at Iowa Speedway, the same track where RFR has visited victory lane five times in the past.
Majeski ran a partial schedule with the Roulo Brothers, a staple in the ARCA Racing Series garage, and the plan is to do that again this season along with XFINITY races.
“We hope to have that shored up a little more in the next two weeks,” Peterson said.
“But the Xfinity side, we’re for sure going to run a small number of races and we’re working on building on that right now.”
In four ARCA starts, Majeski has a best finish of fourth at Madison International Speedway. He is also a former winner of the Howie Lettow Memorial in 2015.
