The NASCAR XFINITY Series returns after an Easter weekend off with the NXS Dash4Cash at the Bristol Motor Speedway. The Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 is slated to take the green flag tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m., but weather could play a role.
Kyle Busch holds the most victories in this race with four victories, Elliott Sadler is the closest active driver with two victories.
Ryan Blaney returns to the track in the No. 22 Ford at the sight of his second career XFINITY Series victory. Blaney also has a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win at Bristol. The Tennessee track typically treats Blaney kindly, and this weekend will likely be no different.
Defending race winner Erik Jones returns to Bristol, and is seeking to finish better than he did the last time the series visited Bristol back in August. He was involved in a late race crash with his teammate, Daniel Suarez, which ultimately had him finishing 33rd. Jones is one of the few Cup regulars allowed to race on Saturday as NASCAR implemented a new rule that doesn’t allow drivers who have more than five seasons in the Cup series to compete in these Dash4Cash races along with playoff races.
Speaking of Dash4Cash, there is a stout lineup of drivers who will definitely be competitive against some of the best drivers with less than five years experience. Blake Koch, William Byron, Justin Allgaier, Daniel Hemric, Brennan Poole and Darrell Wallace Jr. sit on the top of the list of drivers to watch with a few other drivers who are certainly not pushovers like Matt Tifft, Spencer Gallagher, Cole Custer, among others.
Allgaier is chasing his second Dash4Cash victory of the season. Allgaier, of course, pulled off the victory earlier this season at Phoenix International Raceway.
Out of all of the drivers entered in Saturday’s race, Kyle Larson’s name sticks out among one of the drivers to beat. Larson has finished inside the top-five in six out of his seven starts at Bristol, but is still looking for his first win at the half-mile oval.
