The Mid-South Big-8 Street Stock Series Season Finale will be rolling into town on Saturday October 7th for the Shelia Woodward Peach State 30 with $2,000 to win.
“We are excited to bring in a big money show for our Street Stock guys. We are expecting several cars to coming in for this, so it will be a good show. A little something different for the fans. Shelia Woodward and her family have long supported Boyd’s and Chattanooga area racing, so we a glad we could team up and have a tribute to her on this night as well” owner David Duplissey said.
The track will also be “redebuting” their front wheel drive class that’s now called the Hot Shots. This class will be running SCDRA rules (except no rear wheel drives and no trucks.) and will be gunning for the top prize of $1,000 on that night as well.
“We are looking to get back to our roots and concentrate on some of the lower division classes. Hot Shots are a great entry level for anyone looking to get into racing.” Duplissey stated.
Limited Late Model, Sportsman, and Hobby will also be in action. Crate Late Models will have the night off.
October 7th will also be Breast Cancer Awareness Night.
“Shelia unfortunately lost her battle to breast cancer a couple month ago, and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it seemed like a perfect marriage.” Marketing Director Kathie Coulter said. “The Mary Ellen Locher Breast Center will be here with information packets and giveaways. We will have pink ribbons for everyone and will also be donating some of the proceeds for the night’s event to the Center. Cancer touches everyone, so we know this cause will be near and dear to every driver as well as fan”
