Chase Briscoe announced on Tuesday that he will pilot the #98 Ford full-time for Stewart-Haas Racing in a partnership with Biagi Racing, in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Long time Briscoe sponsor Nutri Chomps has been confirmed for at least 13 races.
In 17 previous Xfinity starts, the Indiana native has scored one win (the inaugural Roval event at Charlotte Motor Speedway) while driving the #98 machine. He also has two Camping World Truck Series wins in only 24 starts, including the 2018 Eldora dirt race.
Briscoe will join Cole Custer in the Stewart-Haas Racing Xfinity team, which saw the #00 driver finish second in the 2018 Championship standings. The program, which was formed in 2017 when SHR switched from Chevrolet to Ford, has amassed 21 top-five finishes, 45 top-10 finishes and two pole positions in 66 starts.
Briscoe has enjoyed a close relationship with Ford Racing over the years; all of his NASCAR Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series starts have been in Ford’s, and all but five of his 22 ARCA Series starts have also been with Ford as well.
