Blake Koch will return to full-time competition in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving the JD Motorsports No. 4. Koch last drove in a NASCAR National Touring Series in 2017 driving the No. 11 Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing.
Koch will replace Ross Chastain who is moving to Chip Ganassi Racing to pilot the No. 42 Chevrolet.
Sponsorship for a portion of the races in 2019 for the No. 4 will be provided by Filter Time, a company founded by Koch.
Though Koch did not compete in 2018, he did stay in touch with the sport as a driving coach for up and coming drivers – Matt Tifft, Myatt Snyder, and Harrison Burton.
In 213 starts, Koch has tallied 10 top-10 finishes and one pole.
