Brad Keselowski Racing will welcome a fresh, new sponsor to the team at Dover International Speedway this weekend, as PIRTEK will serve as primary sponsor for the No. 2 Ford F-150 driven by Austin Cindric.
PIRTEK is an industry leading fluid transfer solution in the U.S., and will make its first foray into NASCAR sponsorship at Dover this weekend. They’ll be new to NASCAR, but not new to auto racing as they have sponsored DJR Team Penske’s V8 Supercar team in the past.
“Everyone at PIRTEK is excited about our first foray into NASCAR with Austin Cindric and Brad Keselowski Racing,” said Glenn Duncan, Executive Director, PIRTEK International. “We’re looking at the United States as a growth opportunity for our company. We decided that continuing our involvement in motorsports was a great way to push our growth and working with Team Penske and Brad Keselowski Racing in the Camping World Truck Series was the right avenue for us. Austin is a rising talent and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can achieve at Dover.”
Cindric will be making his first start of the season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and is fresh off his first career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory at Virginia International Raceway. The young driver made two Truck Series starts last year at Martinsville and Phoenix with a best finish of 14th.
“I’m honored to carry the PIRTEK colors because I’ve seen firsthand, while racing in the Bathurst 12 Hour event, that it’s a brand with a rich history in motorsports across the globe,” Cindric said. “A track called the ‘Monster Mile’ shouldn’t be taken lightly. The truck races that I was able to do last year at Martinsville and Phoenix were two of the more difficult tracks, and I believe Dover will be the same situation as I haven’t ever been there. I’m watching as much video as possible and reaching out to as many people as I can to pick learn what it takes to be fast at Dover.”
In addition to their sponsorship of Cindric at Dover, PIRTEK will also sponsor young Matthew Brabham in the Indianapolis 500 later this month.
