BROOKLYN, Mich. (May 7, 2014) — The Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson on Saturday will feature live entertainment all day long. Guests can sample their favorite wines and beers while listening to awesome live music.
The Phoenix Theory is the headliner, beginning at 5 p.m. The band brings a wealth of talent and experience from their previous musical endeavors to form one of Detroit’s premier cover bands, featuring members from Fifty Amp Fuse, Scoot Magoo, and Mitch Ryder. The Phoenix Theory takes listeners to new heights of musical entertainment by performing tightly rehearsed renditions of your classic rock and dance favorites from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today.
“The Phoenix Theory Band entertained the crowd at the Michigan Wine and Beer Fest a year ago,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “It was fun to see people dancing in front of the stage while enjoying the great Michigan wines and beers. This is another way we continue to look for ways to expand our events and work with Pure Michigan companies.”
Nashville-based music talent and Jackson’s own Rob Vischer also joins the lineup from 1 to 4 p.m.
When you are not sampling all the great wines and brews or listening to the entertainment you can visit the Michigan Room where you can learn to paint. And the best part is you do not need to be an experienced painter.
New in 2014 is a session with Party with the ArtZ. An instructor will lead a 45-minue class through various painting exercises. At the end you will take home a finished painting. Advance $15 purchases can be made by calling 800-354-1010. You must have an admission ticket to the wine fest to attend.
Be sure to visit the MIS Cares booth while you are at the Michigan Wine and Beer Fest to enter a raffle to win any of 10 great prizes. You could win tickets to the Nationwide or NASCAR Camping Truck Series race at MIS or you could take home a package that includes a one-night stay at Boyne Highlands Resorts. In addition, MIS Cares will have wine and beer themed games.
