By: Ashley McCubbin – Eric Yorke would run upfront throughout the whole 25-lap Mini Stock feature to his best finish of the season so far – a third.
Yorke started off the night by finishing third in his heat, followed by a seventh place finish in the Dash for Cash.
When it came feature time, Yorke would start sixth virtue of the random draw. After avoiding the early spin by pole sitter Jordan Howse, Yorke would move into the fifth spot. Yorke then raced hard over the next 10 laps, avoiding Brandon McFerran’s mustang when he spun with a flat tire to move into fourth.
On the restart, Yorke would pass Samantha Shaw to move into third. Yorke would use the final 15 laps of the event to try and track down the top two, however would come up short as they battled through lap traffic, finishing third.
