(Mooresville, NC – June 19, 2014) As a 2014 ARCA Racing Series Championship contender, Grant Enfinger will make his Elko Speedway debut on Saturday with Team BCR Racing.
Driving the No. 90 Team BCR Racing Ford Fusion, Grant Enfinger will go into the ARCA Akona 250 just 30 points behind Mason Mitchell.
“I’m looking forward to learning a new track,” says Enfinger. “We’ve had a great year so far and we’ve still got our eyes set on the championship.”
Enfinger held the 2014 ARCA Racing Series points leader position for much of the season gaining three wins, a pole, four top-5 finishes and seven top-10 finishes.
Team BCR will go against tough competition this weekend as Enfinger races against Frank Kimmel who holds the 2013 Elko ARCA win and 2013 Elko Pole Winner, Ken Schrader.
Enfinger mentioned, “We do have a lot of competition to go against but I think we’ll handle it well. Our short track program at Team BCR is strong so as long as I can figure out the track in a reasonable time during practice, I feel we should be in great shape for the race.”
Even though the team has never been to Elko, doesn’t mean they feel any disadvantage going into the race.
“Grant picks up very well at any short track,” says Team Manager and Crew Chief, Howard Bixman. “We’ve won two short track races this year so I’m confident with our abilities to be competitive.”
The ARCA Akona 250 will be played live on CBS Sports on Saturday, June 21 at 9pm ET.
