(Grand Bend ON) Over the weekend, it was announced at the drivers meeting of a $1000 purse for an up coming event for the JCAR Mini Trucks of Grand Bend Speedway.
Track management have announced the large purse for the Mini trucks on August 16, 2014. The event will be a regular points event for the weekly series at Grand Bend, but have invited teams that may still have Mini Trucks in storage to participate.
For many years the JCAR Mini Trucks have been the premier division of racing at the Bull Ring by the Beach, with many of today’s top short track stars spending time at the wheel. Cole Powell (NWMT), Darren McLennan (Can-Am Midgets), Corey Moesker (Can-Am Midgets), Shawn Thompson (Pro Late Model), Brady Smith (Pro Late Model), Marc Jacobs (CRA), Jaxon Jacobs (CRA), Shae Gemmell (Super Stock) Trevor Collver (Super Stock) and Brandon Thurlby (Legends) have all put in their time learning their craft of driving on their way up the short track racing ranks.
All drivers/teams are encouraged to contact Grand Bend Speedway with their intent to compete information. The format and payout details for the event has yet to be announced.
