BROOKLYN, Mich. (July 9, 2014) – Hit them far and straight at the inaugural MIS Cares Golf Scramble on Friday, September 19 at Hantz Golf Club in Tecumseh, Michigan. Enjoy a day on the course with your friends, family and co-workers to benefit a great cause.
Golfers can test their swings at Hantz Golf Club, satisfy their appetite with a dinner buffet, bid on one-of-a-kind auction items and spend a relaxing day on the greens. And the best part is all proceeds benefit MIS Cares, the official charity of MIS.
“Michigan has some of the best golf courses in the country and we are lucky to have the Hantz Golf Club so close to the Irish Hills,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “MIS Cares is a great charity and thanks to support from our fans we are able to provide so much to worthy organizations right in our community. We look forward to all the golfers teeing it up and taking part in this inaugural event.”
A four-person team can simply download the registration form at www.mispeedway.com/miscaresgolf. The cost is $100 person and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, a hot dog lunch and a dinner buffet. Golfers can mail their completed form and payments to MIS Cares at 12626 US HWY 12, Brooklyn, Michigan 49230.

Not a golfer? You can still join the fun and festivities. Come for dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. for only $35.
The Golf Scramble will also feature an array of skill contests, a silent auction, as well as many other exciting activities.
Registration for the day begins at 12 p.m. and golf will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

For a small donation to support MIS Cares, you can prove your talent in a variety of contests for a chance to win one of the many prizes.
Show off your short game in the putting contest at 12:30 p.m. There will also be prizes awarded for the longest drive on the fairway and the top-three scoring teams.
The central focus of Hantz Golf Club is 18 holes of superbly maintained fairway and outstanding greens. At par 72 and three sets of tee positions (5400 yards to just over 6800 yards), the club welcomes all levels of golfers. This beautiful course has pine, maple and hickory trees lining the fairways, and the well-maintained greens are fast and roll true.
MIS focuses on charity through the program MIS Cares. In 2013, MIS and its sister company Americrown combined to donate a total of $606,469 to local service groups and organizations through cash donations, work programs, grants and sponsorships, as well as tickets and merchandise that clubs raffle to raise money. MIS Cares awarded $76,469 in cash donations to local charities through its grant program. Another $60,000 was awarded through sponsorships and tickets those groups raffle off, also to raise money.
