INNISFIL, Ontario – After celebrating his birthday just the day before, Eric Yorke would put in a solid performance on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway with a 13th place finis in the feature.
Yorke would start off the night by finishing sixth in his heat, forcing him to run the b-main. Yorke would post a solid fourth place finish in the b-main to qualify for the feature.
Starting third in the feature, Yorke ran in the top three for the first five laps of the feature, before being passed by Gerritt Tiemersma, Danny Benedict and Brandon McFerran to run sixth as of lap seven. He would then be bumped back to seventh by lap nine, virtue of a pass by Ben Melenhorst. Yorke would continue to run hard throughout the feature, though would slip back to ninth by the time the second caution flew at lap 18 for Jake Watson going around. Yorke would battle hard in the final seven laps, though would end up finishing in the 13th spot.
