INNISFIL, Ontario – After blowing his motor during the first heat, Jordan Howse would jump behind the wheel of Lisa DeLeeuw’s mustang in the effort to salvage some points in the championship standings.
The night started off with DeLeeuw finishing ninth in her heat. Howse was part of the first heat of the night, and blew the motor in his mustang on lap two while leading. After discussion pits, DeLeeuw’s mustang was renumbered No. 72 and Howse was set to drive it the rest of the night.
Howse would post a ninth place finish in the b-main to qualify 21st for the 25-lap feature. Howse immediately started off the race, battling hard for position to get as many points as he could. He would go a lap down before the second caution at lap 18, but kept battling hard to come home with a 19th place finish.
