INNISFIL, Ontario – Terry Woodley would have a solid weekend, posting an eighth place finish on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway, before finishing 12th in the Mini Stock Nationals at Kawartha Speedway.
Woodley started off the weekend by finishing third in his first heat at Sunset Speedway, to qualify for the ‘Dash for Cash’. He would then finish eighth in the Dash for drawing the 13th starting spot for the 25-lap feature.
Woodley would avoid trouble on the first lap between Nick Brown and Samantha Shaw to move up into the 11th spot. He would run solidly in 11th till being passed by Ben Melenhorst for the spot. He would continue to run 12th till the second caution at lap 18 for Jake Watson spinning on the frontstretch, which allowed him to move into 11th.
On the restart, Woodley was able to get by some of his competitors to move up to the eighth spot for his third straight top 10 finish. Woodley currently sits sixth in points, only 12 points out of the top five.
Woodley would then haul out to Kawartha Speedway, changing the transmission in his Nissan 240SX with help from fellow Sunset driver Steve Love before practice. After getting some laps during the second half of practice, Woodley would post a fourth place finish in both of his heats.
Come feature time, Woodley would start in the 12th spot and kept himself solidly there against the top drivers from across the province for the majority of the race, before passed by Rob Flindall during the second half of the feature event. Woodley would then hold off a strong charge from Donovan Price during the second half of the feature to finish 13th.
