INNISFIL, Ontario – Lisa DeLeeuw battled hard all race long at Sunset Speedway on Saturday night en route to finishing 23rd.
DeLeeuw would finish ninth in her feature, forcing her to run the b-main to qualify for the feature. DeLeeuw would battle hard throughout the whole b-main, making a pass with two laps to go for sixth to qualify for the feature.
Starting from the 21st spot, DeLeeuw would battle hard right from the drop of the green flag, though unfortunately going a lap down to the leader at lap 10. The caution would fly three laps later for a spin by Montanari while DeLeeuw had dropped back to the 24th spot.
A second caution would fly two laps later, but after that caution, it was time to make a move. DeLeeuw would take full advantage of the run to the checkered, making a pass with three laps to go to finish 23rd in the feature.
