Sandusky, Ohio (Oct. 22, 2014) – Jeb Burton, driver of the No. 13 Estes Express Toyota Tundra, has traveled to 18 tracks this season across the United States and Canada, logging more than 24,000 miles from his home in Mooresville, NC to various tracks on the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) circuit. However, race No. 19 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway brings the Halifax, Va. native back to familiar territory – his home state of Virginia, 70 miles west of his home town.
Martinsville Speedway, known as NASCAR’s shortest track, was the site of Burton’s NCWTS debut more than two years ago (April, 2012). Today, the ThorSport Racing driver has made 45 career starts including four at the .526-mile track known as the “paper clip.” The Virginia track was also the site of Burton’s career first Keystone Light Pole award in April, 2013, and has since claimed two top-five finishes and led a race-high 154 laps, the most laps the Halifax, Va. native has led in a single event.
This weekend will also mark the homecoming for Burton’s sponsor, Estes Express lines, who call Richmond, Va. home. As a logistics company that offers direct freight transportation service to all fifty states, Estes ensures that no matter where your shipment needs to go, or when it needs to get there – Estes delivers and Burton feels confident that he can deliver the results in Saturday’s 200-lap event at Martinsville Speedway.
Sounding Off – Jeb Burton: “I can’t wait to get back to Martinsville. It’s my favorite track on the circuit. We didn’t have the best showing there in the spring, but this ThorSport Racing team has made huge strides since the second race of the season. I’ve had success at Martinsville in the past and I know we can run well there this weekend. It will feel good to be back at my home track – seeing all my hometown fans, friends and family.”
