During the Black Friday Blowout sale, Friday, Nov. 28, race fans seeking discounts and thrills will visit Charlotte Motor Speedway for the opportunity to drive their personal vehicles on the high banks of the legendary 1.5-mile superspeedway.
The sale is this from 8 am until 5 pm.
Shoppers who spend at least $50 on souvenirs, race tickets or pit passes, or donate at least $25 to Speedway Children’s Charities during the event, will have the unique opportunity to drive their personal vehicle for three laps around the same 24-degree high banks where NASCAR legends like Richard Petty, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt and so many others raced.
Last year, Marcia Ramsey of Monroe, North Carolina attended her first Black Friday Blowout at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Ramsey and her husband, Steven, made a donation to Speedway Children’s Charities and got the thrill of driving their new Audi A4 around Charlotte Motor Speedway.
“It was great. It was exciting being on the track the same track as the NASCAR drivers,” Ramsey said. “It is just amazing what those guys can do. I was driving about 65 mph and was nervous because it was a new car. If it was my old car I would have put the pedal to the metal.”
Ramsey’s advice to those attending this year’s Black Friday Blowout and driving on the high-banks of Charlotte Motor Speedway: “Get comfortable and enjoy every minute.”
Sean Gray from Weyers Cave, Virginia, has attended five Black Friday Blow out sales events at Charlotte Motor Speedway. “The event is well organized and fun. ”
Tony Stewart fan, Stuart Fox, of Biltmore Lake, North Carolina, has been coming to the Black Friday Blowout sale for the past nine years.
“I get my tickets early to get the best seats each year for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race,” Fox said. “I enjoy walking around the souvenir haulers and being able to purchase die-cast cars. The most exciting part about driving on the track is staying high above the turns.”
Fox shared this advice to those attending for the first time; “Go out, have fun and enjoy it.”
Bargain-hunting shoppers will be treated to souvenir items in our “Super Sale” tent priced as low as $1. Additionally, the merchandise trailer from newly crowned, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, Kevin Harvick will be on hand with the very latest apparel and mementos commemorating his historic 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.
