SWM-NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at Charlotte Motor Speedway … This weekend will mark SWM-NEMCO Motorsports’ second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the 1.5-mile quad-oval track. The organization led four laps en route to a team best finish of 11th-place at the North Carolina track with Joe Nemechek on May 16, 2014.
SWM-NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization has logged 51 starts from five drivers, including one victory and six top-five finishes, as well as 24 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 15.8 and an average finishing position of 13.8.

“Pomp and Circumstance” … On Saturday, May 23, John Hunter Nemechek will attend his high school commencement ceremony. The 17-year old is already enrolled at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), because he graduated early (December 19, 2014) from Davidson Day School.
Meet the Nemecheks … Joe Nemechek and John Hunter Nemechek are scheduled to participate in an autograph session at the 600 Festival – Speed Street presented by Coca-Cola from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, May 21. Fans can visit the Walmart Concord – Concord Commons located at 150 Concord Commons Pl SW for an autograph session with the Nemecheks on Friday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (ET).
Catch the Action … The NC Education Lottery 200 will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1 on Friday, May 15, starting with the pre-race show at 8:00 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the fifth event on the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule will air on Friday at 5:30 p.m. (ET)on FOX Sports 1. In addition, practice sessions on Thursday will be televised live on FOX Sports 1.

This Week’s SWM-NEMCO Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at Charlotte Motor Speedway … Joe Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 037 in the NC Education Lottery 200 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team unloaded this chassis once before during this season, at the Kansas Speedway. On May 8 at Kansas Speedway, the NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis qualified fourth and finished in the second-position with Ryan Newman.
Nemechek in the “Queen City” … This weekend marks Nemechek’s second Charlotte Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Lakeland, Fla., driver has earned an average starting position of 16.0 and an average finishing position of 11.0 at the 1.5-mile track. In addition, the 1992 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion has one win (1997), four top-five and eight top-10 finishes in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 35 starts at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Nemechek also has 36 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts which includes a fourth-place finish in 2005.
Speedway Stats: In 14 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2 miles in length), Nemechek has recorded one top-five finish and 9 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 41 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.
Take Charge … FoneFuel LLC, a Spartanburg, S.C.-based company that delivers a high capacity portable battery for mobile devices as a low cost solution, will be the primary partner on the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado at the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the NC Education Lottery 200. FoneFuel LLC will continue its partnership with the organization in 2015 by serving as an associate partner.
In the Rearview Mirror: Kansas Speedway … Ryan Newman bounced back from a penalty for an uncontrolled tire that got away from the NEMCO Motorsports pit stall during his last stop of the night and battled back from the tail end of the lead lap at the Kansas Speedway 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on May 8, earning a hard-fought second-place finish. Newman notched the race team’s best NASCAR Camping World Truck Series finish to date.
