Concord, NC (May 20, 2015) – Less than one year after World Stage Racing’s Brian Wong made an impressive drive to a second-place finish during the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards event at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the 26-year old will return with Venturini Motorsports in search of victory during this weekend’s ARCA 150 presented by Unique Pretzels.
“This will be my third year at New Jersey, and I think we’re as ready as we’ll ever be,” stated the 26-year old. “Every year we’ve improved, and now that I’m in my third year with the folks at Venturini Motorsports, I feel very comfortable headed in to the weekend. It’s a great event, and it’s great to be back in a stock car, I can’t thank everyone at nuts.com, Nitty, and World Stage Racing enough for their support to get us here.”
Driving for the formidable Venturini Motorsports, Wong will enter this weekend’s race for the third time in as many years, driving the No. 15 Nuts.com / Nitty Toyota. A namesake that has existed in the sports since the 1950’s, Venturini Motorsports has been a part of the ARCA Racing Series for over 30 years, and has amassed a number of championships, victories, and other accolades along the way. Widely considered one of the most competitive organizations in the series, the team’s most recent success came this past weekend with 15-year old Todd Gilliland, who took his first ever victory in the series at Toledo. The son of NASCAR Sprint Cup driver David Gilliland, Todd also drove with World Stage at select events in California in 2014.
Providing the opportunity will be a new partner to the team,nuts.com, as well as longtime sponsor Nitty. Founded in Newark, New Jersey, 1929, Nuts.com provides a strong parallel to World Stage’s ethos of creating innovative, digitally engaged platforms to a New America. Originally run as the Newark Nut Company, the company went for seven decades as an open-air market retailer for a different variety of nuts, until making a small shift towards online sales in 1999, which would blossom to become the leading source of nuts sold around the world. Additionally the partnership with Nitty will continue, a smartphone app dedicated to talk, meet, buy and sell with people who share the same interests and passion as you.
“Nuts.com is exactly the kind of brand that fits everyone at World Stage Racing, and Nitty has been a great partner so far,” continued Wong. “They both have a great brand, a real understanding of the consumer culture, and have a unique voice with their online audience. That’s always matched the World Stage values, and it’s a great association.”
Brian Wong will join Venturini teammates, Brandon Jones and Cody Coughlin at New Jersey.
Actively engaged on social media, the easiest way to stay current with the weekend’s activities will be by following Brian Wong directly on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook: @BWMotorsports.
Practice for the event will begin on Saturday, May 23, with Sunday’s race occurring at 1:30 PM EDT. Brian will send continuous updates throughout the weekend, and you can follow the race’s live radio feed at www.arcaracing.com.
