May 22nd Race Report #2
Our team headed to Full Throttle Speedway on May 22nd to compete in the opening night for Late Models. It was a good night of testing and we learned a lot to get our Quaker State Impala prepared for the next event on June 5th.
Our beautifully prepared Impala was lacking a few things on this night, gearing, tires and clutch. All are ordered; we just didn’t have them for this race.
Full Throttle only runs feature races, no heat events. We finished both taking a 6th in the first and 5th in the second. Our next time here we should be much more competitive with new 10” tires. Our team agreed tonight was a good test and the car looked amazing. We should be a contender next visit.
