INNISFIL, Ontario — Following last week’s incident, Eric Yorke bounced back this weekend to finish fifth in the feature on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Yorke started off the night by finishing fourth in his heat to qualify for the 25-lap feature. He would then draw the 13th starting spot for the feature.
Starting outside of the top-10, Yorke quickly began to make his move to the front, moving up into the top-10 just past the halfway mark. He would then pass by both Bobby Tolton and Brandon Crumbie to move up to the eighth spot with five laps to go. Ahead of him, a pair of drivers would get together, and Yorke would avid the pair to move up to the sixth spot with two laps to go.
On the final restart, he was able to make one more pass, getting by Danny Benedict to cross the finish line in the fifth spot.
Special thanks to Can-Alignment Motorsports, Milton Napa Auto Parts, J&D Tire, Solex Steel, McKeown Collision, Partimer Signs, Ancaster Embroidery, Country Girl Designs and Skytec Rentals for their support.
