INNISFIL, Ontario — Following a roll-over last weekend at Sunset Speedway, Jade Franklin would bounce back in style, scoring his first career top-10 feature finish on Saturday night.
Franklin started off the night by finishing second in his heat, qualifying him for the 30-lap feature later that evening. He would then pull the 10th starting spot for the feature.
From the drop of the green flag, Franklin began working his way to the front of the field, getting alongside Chris Howse for sixth as the caution flew on lap four for debris. He would then drop back to the ninth on the ensuing restart. He would then fall back one more spot to 10th with 22 laps to go, courtesy of a pass by Lane Zardo.
For the rest of the feature, Franklin held his ground, fending off all charges and avoiding the ensuing incidents to score his first career top-10 feature finish.
Thanks to Destination RV, Alco Tire, Nitro Industrial Sales, Elite Graphics & Marketing, North River Motorsports and King’s Marine for the continued support.
Franklin will look for success next weekend at Sunset Speedway on August 29. Details and tickets can be purchased via http://www.sunsetspeedway.ca.
