PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Following a disappointing finish last weekend, S&S Racing is hoping to change their luck around this weekend in the next round of competition for the Ontario Modified Racing Series powered by Torque Builders Inc.
Last Saturday night, Brad Stevenson picked up a heat win, but contact with the wall would result a DNF result. As a result, Stevenson has fallen to third in points, five points behind points leader John Baker Jr.
While Stevenson has driven the No. 77 Eibach/Kingsmen Kustoms Modified in each of the OMRS races thus far this season, Chad Strawn will be behind the wheel this weekend. As announced mid-July, S&S Racing will be chasing the OMRS Championship with Stevenson and Strawn sharing the driving duties.
Strawn has ran six OSCAAR events thus far this season, posting four top-five and five top-10 finishes, highlighted by a third at Peterborough Speedway despite having the toe knocked out during the race.
This weekend, the OMRS will run at Peterborough Speedway alongside the Renegade Trucks, as well as Chase for the Colors action for the Limited Late Models, Thunder Cars and Mini Stocks. With extended distance features for the LM, TC and MS drivers, and the front row on the line for the Autumn Colors Classic, it promises to be an action packed night.
